GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In direct partnership with PFX Athletics, the 2021 Florida High School Softball State Championships will return to the campus of the National Training Center (NTC) at Legends Way Ball Fields in Clermont. This year’s event will mark the fourth time overall it will take place at this location, after the site most recently hosted the event from 2010 through 2012.
 
Built within a final four style format, this five-day championship event will consist of both semifinal and championship title games. To qualify for their respective state championship games, teams will compete in their classification’s semifinal matchup the day prior. All semifinal matchups are scheduled to take place on the complex field numbers two and four, while championship games will all be located on the main stadium field.
 
Of the weekend’s competing teams, Trenton in the 1A classification, will be the only team back to defend their 2019 state championship as part of the same classification (2020 event was cancelled). With the classification realignment that went into effect in 2020, both Winter Springs in Class 6A, and Park Vista (Lake Worth) in Class 7A are vying for repeat championships in their new classifications.  Additionally, American Heritage (Plantation) will be looking for their ninth overall title in the event’s history, as they hope to continue their steady climb up the state’s record book.
