GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2023 Florida High School Tennis State Championships are taking place this week at multiple locations in Seminole County. Since 20008, through a partnership with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, Seminole County’s
Sanlando Park,
Red Bug Lake Park, and
Sylvan Lake Park, will each play host to a portion of the event. Classes 1A & 3A will take to the courts on Monday and Tuesday, while Classes 2A & 4A will compete Wednesday and Thursday.
Each individual competitor descending on Seminole County became eligible to compete after qualifying and advancing throughout the District and Regional rounds that have taken place over the last few weeks. In addition to crowning an individual state champion by class, an overall team championship will be awarded as well in each classification and gender.
