GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In partnership with Visit Central Florida Sports & Polk County Public Schools, this week’s 2024 Girls USA Weightlifting Florida High School State Championships will take place inside of George Jenkins Arena, located at the RP Funding Center. This will mark the second time the event has been conducted in Lakeland, after previously hosting both the Girls and Boys events back in 2023. 
For this year’s event, Class 3A will have all lifters take to the platforms on Friday, February 16^th in the afternoon, while both Classes 1A & 2A will compete on Saturday, February 17^th in a two-session morning and afternoon format. An awards presentation for the competing divisions will follow at the conclusion of each lifting session.

Tickets are currently on sale and available through the RP Funding Center Box Office for an advanced purchase rate of $11.00 per day, and a day of price of $14.00. Additionally, on Friday, the One Blood mobile will be onsite offering both rewards and goodies for those who take the time to donate and save a life. One (1) ticket for complimentary admission to the event is being provided for anyone that completes a donation onsite. To avoid delays, patrons are encouraged to sign up for a donation time slot in advance.
