GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In partnership with Polk County Public Schools and Visit Central Florida Sports, the Florida High School Boys Volleyball State Championships are set to return this weekend to the Winter Haven Health Center on the campus of Polk State College in Winter Haven. This will be the second consecutive year that Polk State College will host the boys championship event. This two-day, eight-team championship event will consist of four quarterfinal matches on Friday, followed by both the semifinal and championship matches on Saturday.

Some event notables heading into the weekend include the 2023 state champion Southwest Miami returning to the event to defend their title. They will be seeking their state leading fourth overall championship in the sport. Also returning to the event is the 2023 runners-up and title game participant, Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale), who will be seeking their third overall title - having last claimed a championship in 2018. Both Winter Park and Seminole Ridge (Westlake) are in the field also, and will be seeking their second overall titles. The remaining quarterfinal teams consist of top-seed Miami, Mater Lakes (Hialeah), Lake Howell (Winter Park) and the Tampa Bay HEAT (Brandon) with each of these schools competing for their first ever Florida High School Boys’ Volleyball State Championship. 
 
Tickets are currently on sale via GoFan, with no onsite ticket sales taking place. Ticket prices for Friday’s quarterfinal round are selling at an advanced purchase rate of $14.00, and a day of price of $17.00. Tickets for Saturday’s semifinal and championship rounds will be $17.00 in advance and $20.00 day of. Tickets are general admission and good for the entire day of competition. Additionally, there will be no charge for parking onsite, as the $3.00 cost is already included in each ticket of admission.
