2026 Boys Volleyball State Championships: Know Before You Go

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In partnership with Polk County Public Schools and Visit Central Florida Sports, the Florida High School Boys Volleyball State Championships return this weekend to the Winter Haven Health Center on the campus of Polk State College in Winter Haven. This will be the fourth straight year that Polk State College will host the boys championship event. The three-day event will comprise of semifinal matches on Thursday and Friday, followed by all championship matches on Saturday.

Some notables heading into the weekend include only one returning champion from the 2025 event back to defend their title. After their school’s initial championship last year, Lake Howell (Winter Park), of Class 2A, is back hoping for a repeat performance. The only other school in Class 2A to have previously won a championship is Archbishop McCarthy (Southwest Ranches), doing so in 2016. In Class 1A, Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) is the only school with a previous state title participating this year, having last done so in 2018. The Chiefs are seeking their third overall state championship at this year’s event. Additionally in Class 3A, Seminole Ridge (Westlake) is also the only school to have won a title in their history, having claimed their lone championship back in 2011. All remaining teams participating in the field this year will be seeking their first ever state championship in the sport.

Tickets are currently on sale via GoFan for $14.00 if purchased in advance and $17.00 if purchased the day of, with no onsite ticket sales taking place. Tickets are general admission and good for the entire day of competition. Additionally, there will be no charge for parking onsite, as the $3.00 cost is already included in each ticket of admission.
