SESSION SPEAKERS AND DESCRIPTIONS

Keynote Address 1: Student-Athlete Mental Health – Misty Buck. Misty Buck is the founder of PurposeSoul® Athletics, which combines mental wellness and mental performance to help athletes, champions, and high-achievers optimize their inner game. Inspired by her journey with mental health struggles, she is known for blending her proven mental performance system with honest conversations around mental health to help individuals access their fullest potential.  Her acclaimed books include Athlete Mental Health Playbook and Mindset Champion: Winning The Inner Game for Student-Athletes. Misty is also the co-host of the Bailey and Buck Unplugged podcast, which featured candid conversations with celebrities, athletes, and public figures about mental health, success, and struggle.

Keynote Address 2: Who Are You When the Jersey Comes Off? – Jamie Gilmore Jr. Jamie Gilmore Jr is a leadership speaker, educator, former Division I student-athlete, and Founder & CEO of Kut Different Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young people discover their identity and develop a vision for their future. Known as "Mr. Daily Deposits," Jamie is the creator of the Daily Deposits philosophy, teaching that extraordinary lives are built through the small choices we make every day. Through his work mentoring hundreds of young people and his authentic storytelling, Jamie challenges student-athletes to build their identity on who they are rather than how they perform, encouraging them to answer three life-changing questions: Who am I? Where am I going? What daily deposits am I making to get there? Jamie believes that while sports are something you do, they should never define who you are.

Keynote Address 3: Relational Leadership – Deb Hult. Deb is an established expert in relational leadership. She has spoken to and trained over 200,000 students and adults globally. Her mission is to ensure that every student feels connected, valued, and mentored. As a teenager who has run away from loss and abuse, one of nine who graduated from high school and went to college, Deb knows what it is like not to have someone pulling for her. She defines the word RESILIENCE. She is a highly sought-after international Speaker, Transformational Leadership Trainer, and Mindset Coach.
Deb is the founder of Core Trainings, the author of How You Can, the COO of Global Mindset Mastery 360, an advisor on the President’s Advisory Committee for Youth with the Maxwell Leadership Team, a founding member of the Purpose Factor Licensed Facilitator, and a partner with My Brain Coach in Strategic Intelligence.  A content expert with the National Federation of High Schools, with educational communities, districts, schools, a partner in prevention with the MIAA and many other State Athletic Organizations across the globe.

Closing Session: Student-Athlete Panel: Hot Topics.  A roundtable discussion where students from across the state can learn about what’s trending within the Florida High School Athletic Association from the point of view from FHSAA administration and members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
