GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2024 Florida High School Flag Football State Championships will take place this weekend in Tampa. For the first time in the sport’s championship history, the AdventHealth Training Center – the indoor practice facility and home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - will play host to the event. Built within a final four style format, this two-day championship event will consist of semifinal and championship title games in both classifications. To qualify for their respective state championship games on Saturday, teams will compete in a semifinal matchup on Friday. 

Of the weekend’s competing teams, only Robinson (Tampa) is returning to in defense of its 2023 title. The Lady Knights are currently on a streak of having won the last seven straight, and eight of the last nine championships overall to cement themselves as the most decorated program in Florida’s flag football history. All the remaining teams at this year’s event will be chasing history and are seeking their school’s first titles in the sport.

On behalf of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, tickets for all spectators attending the state championship event will be available free of charge. While there is no fee associated with entry, all individuals planning on attending must access the Ticketmaster ticketing link and complete the process all the way through checkout to obtain their free mobile ticket for entry.
