2025 Flag Football State Championships: Know Before You Go

To be held at AdventHealth Training Center in Tampa

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2025 Florida High School Flag Football State Championships will take place this weekend in Tampa. For the second consecutive year, the AdventHealth Training Center – the indoor practice facility and home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - will play host to the event. Built within a final four style format, this three-day championship event will consist of semifinal and championship title games in all four classifications. To qualify for their respective state championship games on Saturday, teams will compete in a semifinal matchup on either Thursday or Friday.

Of the weekend’s competing teams, both Robinson (Tampa) and Miami Palmetto are  returning in defense of a 2024 title. With the addition of two new classifications this year, both title defenses will come in a new class designation. The Lady Knights, now Class 2A, are currently on a streak of having won the last eight straight, and nine of the last ten championships overall, cementing themselves as the most decorated program in Florida’s flag football history. Miami Palmetto will be seeking their second straight school title in the new Class 4A. In addition to the many new schools qualifying for this year’s state championships, perennial powers Alonso (Tampa) & Seminole Ridge (Westlake) have also qualified and will be seeking more hardware for their trophy case.

On behalf of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, tickets for all spectators attending the state championship event will be available free of charge. While there is no fee associated with entry, all individuals planning on attending must access the Ticketmaster ticketing link and complete the process all the way through checkout to obtain their free mobile ticket for entry.
