GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In partnership with the City of DeLand, the 2023 Florida High School Soccer State Championships will take place this week at Spec Martin Stadium. This year marks the seventh consecutive year that the City of DeLand plays host to the State Championship Event.

This four-day championship event will consist of state title matches over six classifications (2A-7A) in both genders. All teams qualified for the event after surviving their state semifinal matchups this past weekend. Girls will take to the pitch on Wednesday and Friday, and the boys will compete on Thursday and Saturday.

Of the week’s competing teams, many are back to defend their 2022 state championships. For the girls, four schools – Lakeland Christian, St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park), Bishop Moore (Orlando) and Mariner (Cape Coral) each return to DeLand this year in search of another state championship. The group is headlined by St. Johns Country Day, who will be seeking their twelfth straight title. On the boy’s side, Pine School (Hobe Sound) will be the only returning 2022 state champion.

Tickets are currently on sale and available via GoFan for an advanced purchase rate of $9.00 per day, and a day of price of $12.00. For a complete schedule, along with state series brackets as well as additional event information, please see below or visit the soccer sport page.
