GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In partnership with the City of DeLand, the 2025 Florida High School Soccer State Championships for Classes 1A-3A will take place this week at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand. This marks the ninth straight year that soccer state champions will be crowned in the City of DeLand. Classes 1A-3A will compete this week in the championship event, after Classes 4A-7A competed last week in Auburndale.

This second week of championship soccer is a five-day event, with semifinal matches in both genders taking place earlier in the week, and each classification’s state championship match taking to the pitch on either Friday or Saturday. All teams have qualified for the championship event after surviving their Regional Final matchups this past week.

Of this week’s competing teams, three schools are back to the Championship event to defend their 2024 titles. On the boys’ side, both Tampa Prep and Gulliver Prep (Pinecrest) will return seeking repeat performances in 2025, however, each will do so in a new classification due to classification realignment. The Raiders of Gulliver Prep in Class 3A, will be seeking their third straight title and ninth overall, while the Terrapins of Tampa Prep vie for their third championship of the last four years in Class 2A. On the girls’ side, Lakeland Christian returns seeking a dominant fifth straight and fifth overall title in school history.
