The El Campeon course, known for its significant elevation changes, will conduct the boys’ championships, while the equally difficult and serene Los Colinas course will be home to the girls. Both courses will play at a par-72. The tournament for each classification will be conducted over a two-day span, within in a 36-hole stroke play format. The Class 1A and 3A State Championships have been updated to a one-day,18-hole stroke play format due to weather.

In girls’ competition, a group of highly decorated teams will be returning to the championship event. Leading the field in Class 2A will be defending champion American Heritage (Plantation). The Lady Patriots will be returning to Mission Inn seeking a three-peat opportunity, along with the chance to add to their already state leading ten team titles overall. Lake Mary, Class 3A, is second overall in the state with eight team titles and will be seeking their second straight championship, while Windermere Prep, Class 1A, will look to claim their fifth overall title.

On the boys’ side, Ponte Vedra of Class 2A (formerly of Class 3A but is now Class 2A due to classification realignment) will lead a stacked field of competitors. Ponte Vedra is seeking their sixth consecutive and eighth overall team championship as they attempt to remain the most decorated boys’ program in the state of Florida. It should be noted, all state championships for the Sharks have come since 2013.  Standing in their way in Class 2A will be defending champion American Heritage (Plantation), which will be seeking their fifth overall title. St. Stephen’s (Bradenton) will be seeking its second straight championship as well, and fourth overall title as they compete in Class 1A.
