GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The 2025 Florida High School Golf State Championships will take place over nine days at
Mission Resort + Club, located in Howey-in-the-Hills. The event will run Tuesday, November 11
th through Wednesday, November 19
th. Once again partnering with the
Greater Orlando Sports Commission and
Visit Lake, this year's event will mark the fifteenth consecutive year of being in Lake County.
The
El Campeon course, known for its significant elevation changes, will conduct the boys’ championships, while the equally difficult and serene
Los Colinas course will be home to the girls. El Campeon will play at a par-72, while Los Colinas at a par-71. The tournament for each classification will be conducted over a two-day span and within a 36-hole stroke play format. Both teams and individual athletes have qualified over the last few weeks after advancing through both the District & Regional tournament events.
In girls’ competition of note, each of the 2024 team winners will return to the championship event as they each seek second ever state championships in golf. Lake Nona (Orlando) returns in Class 3A and enters the event as the top overall girls seed in Class 3A, while in Class 2A, South Walton (Santa Rosa Beach) heads to Howey-in-the-Hills in more of an underdog role. In Class 1A, Montverde Academy will also look for a repeat performance, but standing in their way there are multiple perennial golfing powers.
On the boys’ side, all three defending champions will make a return to Howey-in-the-Hills as well. Each returning group is seeded in the top of five of their respective classifications as they make runs toward another state championship. In Class 3A, Viera (Melbourne) will face a stacked group of qualifiers that also include perennial power Ponte Vedra wo will be seeking their state leading tenth overall team title. The Golden Eagles of Fleming Island return in Class 2A and are seeking their third straight title, while in Class 1A, Oxbridge Academy (West Palm Beach) seeks their second overall title in school history.
Admittance to the Event is free for spectators, but there is a $10 fee for parking,
cash only.
Proceeds from parking directly support covering the course greens fees for the tournament days. For a complete schedule, live scoring information as well as state series tournament results, please see the information below or visit the
