Roger Dearing Spirit of Sport and Heart of the Arts Nominations

Nomination submissions being accepted through January 15th

GAINESVILLE, Fla.-Nominations for the Roger Dearing  Heart of the Arts & Spirit of Sport nominations are now being accepted through January 15th. This award seeks to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the positive spirit of sport and heart of the arts that represent the core mission of education-based athletics. The award may be given in recognition of a specific act or for an activity of longer duration. The winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship from the Association.
 
If you have a candidate you wish to nominate, please complete, and return these nomination forms to the FHSAA no later than January 15, 2026. It may be submitted electronically by completing the form and e-mailing it to FHSAA Administrator of Recognition Kelvin Richardson at krichardson@fhsaa.org.

The Florida High School Athletic Association supervises and regulates interscholastic athletic programs for high school students at member public, private and charter schools. The organization also recognizes and honors academic achievement among student-athletes at over 850 middle, junior and senior high schools statewide. Headquartered in Gainesville, it is the official governing body for interscholastic athletics in Florida.
