Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame

The Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1991 to recognize and preserve the heritage of high school athletics in Florida, to keep alive the tradition and spirit of high school athletics in Florida and to honor those persons who through distinguished achievement have excelled in one or more high school athletic programs sponsored by the Association and its member schools.
 
To date, 247 deserving individuals have been enshrined in the Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame. They include administrators, coaches, contest officials, student-athletes, and other contributors, such as sports writers, who have raised the level of awareness of high school athletics through their dedication, efforts, and achievements.

What is the Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame?
The Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame is composed of prestigious individuals who have elevated high school athletic programs sponsored by the Association and its member schools.

The categories of student-athlete, coach, administrator, contest official and contributor are included on the nomination form for expediency in understanding the primary area in which an individual is to be considered for his or her achievements. These groupings are for screening purposes only and to assist those submitting the nominations understand the type of information required.

What are the nomination deadlines?
Nomination forms are made available to the public in November of each year. Nomination packets sent via mail or fax will not be accepted. What do inductees receive?
Those inducted into the Florida High School Athletic Hall of Fame receive a commemorative plaque and ring, as well as a Lifetime State Series pass, which admits the bearer and one guest into all FHSAA member school athletic events.
